The 2010 IFA Congress Organisers have made a special selection of tours for Participants and their Accompanying Persons proposing traditional sites for first time Rome visitors as well as undiscovered and unusual itineraries and sites for lovers of the Eternal City.

Hop On Hop Off City Tour Explore Rome at Your Own Pace
Tour Included in the Accompanying Persons Registration Fee
A tour to explore the heart of the Eternal city at your own pace. The itinerary gives passengers a unique, spectacular view of the city passing close by the main archaeological sites and monuments.
The tickets can be used from Sunday 29 August to Friday 3 September 2010 and will be valid for 24 hours from the first use. The buses are equipped with multilingual commentary devices.
The detailed schedule and itineraries of this hop on hop off service will be provided at the registration desk with the tickets.

  • Tours will depart from and return to the Hotel Rome Cavalieri (if not otherwise indicated).
  • Each tour includes transportation, an English-speaking guide and hostess. Full day tours include lunch.
  • Tours reservations will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis. For on-site reservations availability cannot be guaranteed.
  • Tour programmes may be modified due to last-minute logistical issues.
  • The organisers reserve the right to cancel tours accounting for less than 25 participants without liability other than refunding the cost of the tour to participants.
  • The number of participants for each tour is limited and early booking is advisable.
  • Dress code: casual attire with comfortable shoes.
  • Climate: The weather in Rome in August and September is generally hot. Average temperatures range from 19°C to 30°C (66°F to 86°F).
  • It is strongly recommended that Participants purchase adequate coverage for health, travel and private liability insurance before departing their home countries. The organisers will not accept responsibility for personal injury, loss or damage to private, personal property of Accompanying
    Persons and/or Congress Participants.
  • Tour costs are per person, in Euro, VAT 74ter included.

Reservation Instructions and Payment
Reservations of tours and full payment should be made by completing the relevant section on the registration form. Please note that payment must be received at the time of reservation. On receipt of payment, a letter of confirmation will be sent by the organising secretariat.

Post-congress Tours

Participants wishing to extend their stay in Italy once the IFA Congress is over have the opportunity to do so by selecting one of the following proposed post-congress tours.

Due to Rome's favourable geographical position, it is possible to visit some of the most impressive Italian resorts, whose historical and artistic heritage has fascinated visitors from all over the world.

Post- Congress Tour Prices Include:

  • accommodation in a four-star hotel including breakfast
  • all transportation indicated in the programmes (deluxe/air conditioned coaches, hydrofoils for Capri)
  • all meals mentioned in the programme, including beverages
  • visits and excursions, including entrance tickets

The Congress Secretariat reserves the right to change the tour programme.
Tours accounting for less than 20 participants will be cancelled, without liability other than refunding the cost of the tour to participants.
